Fraud Prevention

How we protect you from fraud — and how to protect yourself.

Real-Time Monitoring
Every transaction on CardFi is analysed in real-time. Suspicious patterns trigger automatic alerts and account holds for investigation.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Login requires email + OTP. All account actions are protected by PIN verification. No single-point access to your account.
Card Freeze Control
Instantly freeze your virtual card from the dashboard if you suspect unauthorised use. No delays, no phone calls needed.
Blockchain Analytics
We screen all incoming deposits against known fraud, scam, and sanctions-linked wallet addresses using blockchain analytics.
Common Fraud Tactics to Watch For
Phishing Emails
Fake emails pretending to be CardFi, asking you to log in or verify your account. Always check the sender's email domain — official emails come from @cardfi.online only.
Fake Websites
Copycat websites with similar domain names (e.g. cardfi.net, card-fi.online). Always verify the URL shows exactly cardfi.online with a valid SSL padlock.
Impersonation Scams
Scammers posing as CardFi support on social media or messaging apps, asking for your credentials or recovery phrase. Our team will NEVER contact you first to ask for these.
Advance Fee Fraud
Claims that you must pay a fee, deposit, or "release charge" to receive a larger payment or unlock your account. CardFi never charges upfront fees to access your own funds.
Recovery Phrase Theft
Anyone who asks for your 12-word recovery phrase is attempting to steal your account. There is no legitimate reason for any CardFi staff or system to ever request this.
CardFi Will NEVER Ask You For:
Your password or account PIN
Your 12-word recovery phrase
Your full card number, CVV, or expiry date via email or chat
An upfront payment or deposit to "unlock" your account
Remote access to your device
Transfer of funds to a different wallet address for "security"
